What to Expect at Your Visit
After Hours and Urgent Care
If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911, go to the Emergency Trauma Center at Abington Memorial Hospital or proceed to the nearest emergency
department. One of our doctors is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for medical issues that cannot wait until the office reopens. Please call
our main number, and the answering service will contact the doctor on call.
Prescriptions and Pre-authorizations
By telephone:
For prescription refills, please provide:
- patient's name
- date of birth
- medication name and dosage
- pharmacy contact information (name, phone, fax)
For pre-authorizations, please provide:
- patient name
- date of birth
- specialist name, test or service
Insurance and Claim Forms
We participate with most insurance plans and will submit claim forms on your behalf. For your protection, and to assure accurate billing, please bring your insurance card and a government issued identification with you to each visit. Please notify us promptly of any changes in your name, insurance coverage or contact information.
Our staff will discuss co-pays and other payment responsibilities with you.
Co-pays and payments for office visits are expected at the time of service. We accept
Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards. If you have a managed care plan, referrals are required to see specialists and for certain diagnostic tests and procedures. Please feel free to discuss any insurance questions with our staff.
About Our Physicians
Our neurointerventional specialists have advanced expertise in the endovascular treatment of acute stroke and other neurological conditions. Our neurocritical care specialists have advanced expertise and training in the care of seriously ill neurological patients and oversee their care in our neuro intensive care unit.
What to Expect at Your Visit
As a part of your treatment team, our physicians will collect a detailed history from you and perform a physical examination to determine a plan for your care. We will communicate with your primary and specialty physicians to ensure coordination of care. Radiological imaging studies may be performed of your brain, neck or spinal structures and blood vessels to provide information about problems that are contributing to your symptoms.
