Aquatic Policies and Procedures

Abington Memorial Hospital welcomes you to the Warminster Campus aquatic facility. As we develop and expand our aquatic exercise programs to serve the community, we ask your patience and cooperation regarding policies, procedures and safety. Please review the following policies and procedures. They have been designed for your safety and to establish the Warminster Campus aquatic facility as a professional, caring and fun place to exercise.

Getting started

Participants scheduled for the community pool programs can report directly to the pool area. They do not have to check in at the front desk. If a participant requires assistance or supervision for dressing and undressing, a family member or companion should accompany them.

Registration

All participants must complete a medical history questionnaire and provide proof of their physician's approval. Members may obtain a written prescription by the doctor or have the doctor sign the physician release form that was provided with the questionnaire.

Daily sign-in

All participants must check-in with instructor before they enter the pool each day.

Payment terms

Payment must be made at the beginning of each month. Checks or money orders are accepted. Please make check payable to Abington Memorial Hospital.

Facility use

Participants will have full use of the locker room facilities and pool area. Lockers may be locked, but locks must be removed after each use. Abington Memorial Hospital is not responsible for lost or stolen items left unattended in the locker rooms. All participants must bring their own towels.

Aquatic shoes

It is mandatory to wear non-slip, rubber soled shoes, flip-flops or sandals while in the locker room and on the deck. It is also highly recommended to wear foot protection in the pool.
