Rehabilitation Medicine
Rehabilitation Medicine is dedicated to improving the quality of life by providing a comprehensive, team-based approach to physical, occupational and speech therapy for adults and children. This is achieved by providing comprehensive patient evaluation and treatment, educating patients and families, and consulting with other healthcare providers. Patients receive personalized treatments in a comfortable setting, where they are able to build relationships with the dedicated staff.
Abington Health’s Rehabilitation Medicine offers inpatient services at both Abington Memorial Hospital and Lansdale Hospital, and outpatient services at five convenient locations across Montgomery County – Abington, Ambler, Lansdale, Warminster and Willow Grove – providing a wide variety of services and a multitude of options to help meet patients’ needs and goals. Specialty services include: aquatic therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, lymphedema treatment and specialized classes, such as the Parkinson’s Exercise Group.
Staff
Rehabilitation Medicine physicians are board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Therapists have completed specialty training in a multitude of modalities.
Our staff includes physical therapists with specific expertise in various clinical specialties, along with physical therapy assistants and exercise physiologists. We are unique in our ability to offer multiple services in one setting. The clinical expertise and core values of compassion and respect demonstrate the staff’s firm commitment to providing the highest quality of care for every patient, every day.
