Tribute Gifts to Abington Health

Abington Health receives thousands of contributions each year that honor or remember loved ones, friends, and co-workers who have survived an illness, celebrated a birthday or other special occasion. These Tribute Gifts also allow patients and families to thank a caregiver who provided outstanding care while they were a patient at Abington Memorial Hospital or Lansdale Hospital. These important Tribute Gifts total more than $600,000 annually and are a crucial source of revenue for Abington Health programs.

Tribute Gift Acknowledgement and Notification

Abington Health is very pleased to acknowledge your Tribute Gift with a special card and we will gladly notify the person or family you are honoring (amount of your gift is not included.) When making a Tribute Gift, please include the name of the person you are honoring. Also, include the name and address of the individual you would like us to notify of your thoughtful tribute. You can also inform of us how you want to be identified in the notification card. In addition to sending acknowledgments and notifications, Tribute Gifts of $25 or more on our Ways of Giving website. The name of the person being honored, and the name of the donor, are listed alphabetically.

Tribute Language Used in an Obituary

Families may prefer to ask for Tribute Gifts through an obituary. The notice in the obituary might read, "The family requests contributions be made to Abington Health Foundation, 1200 Old York Road, Abington PA 19001." If you would like to support a particular program or department at Abington Health, you may include the name of the program or department in the obituary. To ensure proper dedication of these gifts, please contact the Office of Philanthropy at 215-481-4438 ahead of time.
