Employee Oriented Environment

More than 5,500 employees including over 2,000 nurses at Abington Memorial Hospital take pride in their ability to provide friendly, caring service with the most modern technology in a convenient environment. Abington Memorial Hospital is an equal opportunity employer, and our policy prohibits discrimination in employment because of race, creed, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or handicap, provided employees are qualified and meet the physical requirements of the position.

Competitive Compensation

We offer a competitive compensation program, an excellent work environment and benefit packages that may be tailored to meet your individual needs. Flexible scheduling is available in many clinical and non-clinical areas.

Employee Education

AMH is committed to education as part of our teaching mission. Tuition assistance for undergraduate, graduate or continuing education is available for both part-time and full-time employees. The hospital operates the Dixon School of Nursing and has a program in radiologic technology. Several local colleges and universities offer some undergraduate classes on site at the hospital.

Employee Satisfaction and Engagement

The hospital is committed to being one of the best places to work in the region. We routinely survey employees on issues that matter to them and develop action plans to enhance satisfaction. There are a number of formal and informal programs that recognize employees for achievements on the job.

A variety of employee activities - including discount tickets to movie theaters, amusement parks and trips - are also available.
