The Abington Memorial Hospital Department of Psychiatry provides people of all ages with expert consultation and treatment for all types of mental and emotional problems. Continuum of care is the mission of the department. The department's services span inpatient for adults and geriatric patients, partial hospital for adults and seniors, outpatient for all ages (Creekwood Center and private practitioners), and a 24-hour/ seven-day-a-week crisis service available to hospital personnel and the community at large. Our staff treats a wide variety of disorders including anxiety, panic disorders, depression, adjustment disorder, personality disorders, drug and alcohol disorders, relationship disorders and psychosis, to mention a few. Therapies provided by our staff include individual psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, medication management, biofeedback, couple therapy, family therapy or group therapy.
