During your stay at Abington Memorial Hospital, your nurse will invite you to participate in Tot Trax, a free childhood immunization program. Mothers will receive timely calls or postcards reminding them when their babies’ immunizations are due. Children's Health Care Abington Memorial Hospital pediatricians provide a full range of medical services for infants, children and adolescents. More than 40 pediatricians are on staff at Abington, with offices throughout our community. Augmenting the general pediatric staff are subspecialties in allergy and immunology, neurology, dentistry, gastroenterology, otolaryngology, psychiatry and surgery. Family Medicine physicians provide comprehensive health care for all members of the family, from infants through senior citizens. From their offices throughout the community, our Family Medicine practitioners emphasize preventive medical care, encompassing every aspect of the patient's health. The First Step for Healthy Kids Program provides up to nine well-child visits for children who are uninsured, not eligible for government programs and whose parents cannot afford commercial insurance. Included are screenings and childhood immunizations as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
