Yesterday morning, Monday, July 19, AMH held a press conference announcing the arrival of Mirlande Felime, a 23-month-old resident of Haiti, who has a congenital malformation of the digestive tract. Mirlande's condition, which occurs in one in 4,500 births, is surgically corrected at birth in the U.S.; however, the care that is crucial to the child's wellbeing is not available in her native country.— Read More...
ACR Breast Imaging Center of Excellence
Abington's Memorial Hospital's Mary T. Sachs Breast Center, located at the Abington Health Center – Schilling Campus, has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
The ACR recognizes breast imaging centers that have earned accreditation in all of the College's voluntary, breast-imaging accreditation programs and modules, in addition to the mandatory Mammography Accreditation Program as Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence.
