Your Hospital Team
Medical Staff
The hospitalist physician or your attending physician is primarily responsible for your care. All tests, medications, and consultations with other specialists are performed or administered under your attending physician's supervision. If you were not under the care of a physician affiliated with Lansdale Hospital when you were admitted to the Hospital, you will be treated by a hopsitalist.
Nursing Staff
Our nursing staff is committed to providing comprehensive care to patients, each of whom requires a different level of personal attention and expert skills. You will be assigned a registered nurse who will coordinate a thorough nursing assessment, plan of care, and continuous monitoring of your health status throughout your hospitalization. Other care givers, under the direction of the registered nurse, will be assigned to care for you. A Nurse Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care on each unit. Please feel free to contact your nurse or the Nurse Manager if you have questions or concerns.
Pastoral Services
Pastoral care and other spiritual services are available to patients and their families' spiritual and emotional needs or concerns. The hospital's full-time Chaplain is on call 24 hours a day and is available to minister to persons of all faiths. At your request, the Chaplain will contact your priest, pastor or rabbi for you. You may contact the Hospital Chaplain by calling (215) 361-4417, or ask your Nurse Manager to contact him for you.
Dietitians
The Hospital maintains a staff of full-time registered dietitians to meet your nutritional needs or to address your concerns during your stay. A dietician may visit you during your hospital stay.
Case Management
The services of the Utilization Management Department are available to all patients of Lansdale Hospital. These services include:
- Assistance in discharge planning including home care, transfer to rehabilitation centers, transitional care units, nursing homes or assisted living facilities.

Housekeepers
Your room is cleaned daily by a member of the housekeeping staff. If there is a housekeeping problem in your room, tell your nurse, and it will be taken care of as soon as possible.
Volunteers
Volunteers contribute many hours of service to the Hospital. They supplement the services of the Hospital staff in many ways and can be identified by their pink or red jackets and name tags. Among the many services they provide, they can: deliver magazines to you from the volunteer library, deliver your purchases from the Gift Shop, and deliver flowers and mail. If you need a volunteer's help or know of a patient who may appreciate a friendly visit, call 215-361-4619.
Information Desk
The Information Desk is located in the main lobby near the main entrance to the Hospital.
