Department of Pathology

The Department of Pathology offers a full range of diagnostic services in anatomic pathology that include surgical pathology, cytology, autopsy pathology and immunohistochemistry. Board-certified pathologists at Lansdale Hospital are recognized experts in diseases of the breast, lung, gastrointestinal tract, liver, reproductive tract, skin, lymph nodes, bone marrow, and endocrine glands. They provide operating consultations and assist in many biopsy processes including fine needle aspirate (FNA) biopsies. The hospital pathologists are intimately involved in the Lansdale Hospital cancer program where they provide tumor staging and coordinate data from flow cytometry, cytogenetics, and oncogene testing. They offer interpretations of fine needle apirates and detailed coorelation with formal biopsies.  They are at the forefront of technological advances and are dedicated to providing accurate trustworthy service and implementing helpful new technology.
