Abington Memorial Hospital Offers a New Way for Patients and Families to Connect via Free, Personalized Websites
Abington Memorial Hospital and Lansdale Hospital have partnered with www.CaringBridge.org, 
a nonprofit web service that connects patients with families and friends when they are facing a serious medical condition, in treatment or in recovery.

A free, personalized CaringBridge website provides a place for users to post journal entries and photos, and receive messages of hope and encouragement in a guestbook.
This partnership enhances our patient and family support system. Having a CaringBridge website to post updates, instead of fielding numerous phone calls and e-mails, allows families to focus their time and energy on the person who requires healing. |
Patients, family members or friends may create a free site. A CaringBridge site is HIPAA compliant, private and not searchable by any internet search engine. Visitors must know the specific and unique site name to reach a site, and authors can choose additional layers of privacy and security.
Creating a site is very easy, and takes only five to 10 minutes. An online tutorial is available and CaringBridge offers online and phone customer service to help set up a site.
