To Apply
Our program participates in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) and accepts applications through ERAS only. Allopathic applications should be made through ERAS September 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010. Interviews take place in November, December 2010 and early January 2011. Information on how to apply through ERAS can be obtained from your medical school or, in the case of non-LCME graduates, the ECFMG. All non-LCME applicants must be ECFMG certified before application.
The ERAS application for a PGY-1 position generally consists of:
- ERAS common application form
- Dean's letter of recommendation
- Medical school transcript
- 3 letters of recommendation (written within the past 12 months)
- USMLE/COMLEX scores
- Curriculum vitae
- Personal statement
The Family Medicine Program welcomes applications from osteopathic students. Three to four AOA-approved osteopathic internships are available each year. While the first year is applied for and credited as a traditional rotating osteopathic internship, acceptance guarantees a position in the tracked Family Medicine Residency Program, totaling three years. Osteopathic applications should be made through ERAS September 1, 2010 to November 30, 2010. Interviews for osteopathic positions will begin in early-October 2010.
Medical students are welcome to apply for third and fourth year family medicine clerkships by contacting Denise Wright.
Regretfully, observerships and externships are not available.
