Gynecologic Cancer

Our gynecologic oncologists – the physicians of the Hanjani Institute for Gynecologic Oncology – are committed to the comprehensive treatment of women with cancers of the female reproductive tract, including:

With specialized training in gynecologic cancer, the Institute’s gynecologic oncologists are skilled surgeons. Their wide-ranging expertise includes minimally-invasive and robotic surgery as well as prescribing chemotherapy or radiation when appropriate. They are principal investigators in research studies and clinical trials aimed at finding more effective treatments to improve cure rates.

As one of the major gynecologic cancer treatment centers in the Delaware Valley, the Institute combines the capabilities of a teaching and clinical research institution with the personal attention and convenience of a community hospital. The Institute has a high ranking in the Gynecologic Oncology Group, a national research body supported by the National Cancer Institute.

Our comprehensive team of board-certified cancer experts uses the latest technology for treating gynecologic cancer. They work together with radiation oncologists and other specialists at The Rosenfeld Cancer Center, where the Institute is located, to achieve the best outcomes for patients.

The gynecologic cancer nurse navigators, Karen Sweeney, Jennifer Cacciatore and Tina Nolan, provide patients with help and support at 215-481-4670 and ksweeney@amh.org, jcacciatore@amh.org or cnolan@amh.org.
