Hormonal Therapy

Some cancers grow due to the presence of certain hormones. Treatment that blocks, disrupts or lowers this hormonal influence may be effective in stopping cancer growth.

Hormonal therapy may lower the risk of cancer returning after initial treatment, such as surgery or chemotherapy, is completed. This treatment may be administered orally by capsules or pills, or by injection.
