About In-Home Personal Care

Abington Memorial Hospital's In-Home Personal Care, a service of our Home Care and Hospice Department, offers daily or around-the-clock personal care for those who need a helping hand in their home.

There are times when our loved ones want to maintain their independence as they age by continuing to live at home. However, they may be unable to routinely care for themselves or perform chores in the home after surgery or other medical treatments.

Our caregivers provide a smooth transition and a safe environment for those in need of assistance or companionship. Caregivers are flexible because they understand that everyone's needs differ. No task is too large or too small: from making lunch to buying groceries, providing two hours of services or actually living in the home.

All caregivers are supervised, bonded and insured, and are subject to state licensing inspections in addition to tri-annual Joint Commission surveys.
