Dentistry

Dentists and dental specialists diagnose, treat and prevent problems affecting the teeth, gums and jaws. This division offers full dental services, such as: fillings; root canal therapy; extractions; crowns and bridges; dentures; orthodontics; periodontal treatment; and pediatric dentistry. The staff also diagnoses and treats temporo-mandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, performs dental implants and jaw alignment surgery, and treats facial injuries. These procedures can be performed in the hospital or at the Abington Surgical Center in Willow Grove. In addition, Abington Memorial Hospital has a residency training program for general dentists.
