Emergency Medicine/Trauma Center
The Emergency Trauma Center is open 24 hours a day at Abington Memorial Hospital. Specialists board-certified in emergency medicine treat over 80,000 emergency patients each year. Their expertise in treating major, life-threatening emergencies has been recognized by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in designating Abington Memorial Hospital as the only regional trauma center in Montgomery County. The Emergency Trauma Center is supported by the full diagnostic, medical and surgical specialties of the hospital and is specially equipped for infant and pediatric emergencies. Located in the Toll and the Lenfest Pavilions, the center has dedicated elevators to the operating suite, critical care units and the rooftop helipad. The Center is accessed directly from Old York Road.
