Podiatrists specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of conditions related to the foot and ankle. Areas of concentration include routine and diabetic foot care (ingrown nails, corns and callouses), reconstructive foot surgery, trauma (fractures and sprains), sports medicine and biomechanics (evaluation and treatment of abnormal foot function and related postural complaints).
