Andrew Tesauro Special Care Nursery

The Andrew Tesauro Special Care Nursery is a 34-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with acute care and continuing care beds, as well as dedicated nursing stations and sophisticated technology for caring for high-risk and premature infants.

The NICU is named in honor of a gift to the hospital from Esther Tesauro, in memory of her son Andrew, and has been awarded the highest level of accreditation (Level III) by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Abington Memorial Hospital is a referral center for babies born at other local hospitals who need the high-tech, high-touch care of our NICU.
